POSIPIX Geotagged Images for Mobile Applications

Mobile Operators can use POSIPIX images as visual confirmation of an address. There is also the
opportunity to differentiate or up sell location services for example by providing a geo-referenced image
to the mobile user that they can then use with their satnav application.

Search and Mapping Web sites can easily integrate POSIPIX images so that visitors having searched
for a street or a restaurant can simply download and store the relevant POSIPIX image on their mobile
satnav device and then navigate to that location using the co-ordinates embedded in the image.

Location information can be sent directly to Mobile phone based satellite navigation units as an SMS
link or MMS message. This also facilitates further distribution. For example a mobile user could forward an
SMS containing a link to the image of a restaurant to their friends.

The ability to send a POSIPIX image to a mobile device allows the Mobile Operator's DQ services to send
both a visual confirmation of a street as well as directions to it. Integrating POSIPIX images allows mobile
operators to offer a value add service to both consumer and professional customers who use mobile
satellite navigation
